21st Annual
Silent Film
Benefit!
May 17, 2008

Mark you calendar for the annual Silent
Film Benefit, truly a signature event for the museum. We bring
silent movies to life with organ accompaniment in the restored
historic Avalon Theatre in the Casino Building. This year join
renowned organist Robert D. Salisbury while he breathes musical life
into the Art Deco classic "Metropolis" by Fritz Lang, 1927!

event is put on by the Art Deco Society of Los Angeles.
If you wish you could travel back in time to the heydays of
Catalina, look no further! See a silent film in the
Avalon Theatre and then put on your dancing shoes to experience an
authentic 1920s and 1930s era dance in the historic Avalon Ballroom!
