Ada Blanche Wrigley Schreiner
April 19, 1923 - December 2, 2010
Ada Blanche Wrigley Schreiner, "Blanny" to her friends, was the eldest daughter of Philip K. Wrigley and the granddaughter of William Wrigley Jr. Her father was a founding member of the Catalina Island Museum, and Blanny served for many years as a member of the museum's Board of Trustees. She was committed to preserving Catalina Island's rich history, and was an enthusiastic leader in the effort to construct a new museum building. In 2012 the Catalina Island Museum's Board of Trustees voted unanimously to name the museum's future building after her. Blanny considered Catalina Island her home, and the museum is proud to honor her with its new home: the Ada Blanche Wrigley Schreiner Building.
