Join us as we celebrate the openings of two new exhibitions - Crossing Waters: Contemporary Tongva Artists Carrying Pimugna and Tall Tiki Tales: Catalina as a South Seas Island in one evening, Saturday, October 22 from 6-9 pm.
You and our special guests will have the opportunity to explore these exhibitions throughout the evening. The 3 artists featured in "Crossing Waters" will be in the Artists' Plaza Gallery to talk about their work and answer questions. Guest Curator Sven Kirsten and Deputy Director and Chief Curator Johnny Sampson will be in the John and Hasmik Mgrdichian Gallery talking about all things Tiki.
All guests will enjoy live music by the Hula Girls, a Polynesian-inspired buffet dinner*, and rum drinks by our sponsor Deadhead Rum. The rum drinks, plus wine and beer will be available for purchase.
