November First Fridays at the Museum is actually on Tuesday this month to Celebrate Dia de los Muertos!
Families and friends of all ages are invited to experience a special evening celebration with the 4th Annual Día de los Muertos Family Festival. The museum welcomes the colorful Mexican tradition celebrating life and death while honoring family members and friends who are no longer with us. Enjoy an art project for the kids, local food vendors, a tequila tasting, live cultural performances including Mariachi Las Catrinas followed by local band Sin Frontera, a performance by Ballet Folklorico Quetzal and more! We'll also be raffling off the 2022 Barbie Signature Edition for Dia de los Muertos during the event.
The festival also invites all creative artists to submit their artwork in the Día de los Muertos Family Festival Ofrenda/Altar & Art Contest for a chance to win a cash prize. There is no fee to submit an entry. Prizes will be awarded to Best Ofrenda/Altar and Best Work of Art. Click here (English or Spanish) to download the ofrenda/altar and art entry form.
This event is free for our members, community and visitors. The art project and tequila tasting are included. Food and drinks are available for purchase.
