Catalina Ambassador Program

In the fall of 2019, the Catalina Island Museum began an arts education partnership with Avalon School. With the help of Lisa Marsh, museum educator and curriculum developer, the museum introduced the Catalina Ambassador Program.

The Catalina Ambassador Program was specifically developed to inspire and teach students about their community and its attributes through classroom exercises, art projects, field trips and hands-on experiences. For six weeks, Marsh spends time in the respective classroom leading the students through particular lessons and teaching them about what it means to be an ambassador. Currently, the program focuses on K-5 students but will be expanded through 8th grade in the next school year.

Special thanks to the donors to our Centennial Club for supporting this program.
