This is a tile mural, of a vintage ad for a trip to Seal Rock, designed by Otis and Dorothy Shepard, and this piece was printed here on Catalina Island.

In 1932, Philip K. Wrigley commissioned Otis and Dorothy Shepard to create the graphics for advertising campaigns dedicated to Wrigley Spearming Gum, Chicago Cubs, and Santa Catalina Island. The strong Art Deco Shapes and playful nature of the Shepards' work evokes the spirit of old California, which Mr. Wrigley recognized as an essential part of the island's heritage.
